About Quang

Quang X. Pham is a successful entrepreneur, motivational speaker, decorated Marine, and acclaimed author of "A Sense of Duty: My Father, My American Journey." He is the founder and president of Lathian Health, a provider of pharmaceutical marketing services and sales solutions. He serves on the boards of Lathian, Think Together, and the Marines' Memorial Association. Quang has received numerous business, civic, and military awards. Currently, he lives in California with his wife and daughter and also spends much time on the East Coast.

But his life has not always been this easy.

In his well-told 2005 Random House book, "A Sense of Duty," Quang delves into the difficulties of immigrating to America as a child refugee from South Vietnam. He began his American journey by scrambling aboard a U.S. evacuation aircraft, leaving Saigon just prior to the Communist's victory there. After graduating from UCLA, Quang went on to serve his new country, the United States of America, as a helicopter pilot in the Persian Gulf War and Somalia.

With his tremendous attitude and outlook on life, Quang shares with his audiences "An American Journey like No Other" filled with purpose and vision as he recounts overcoming obstacles and having mentors that helped him along the way in achieving his dreams. He imparts lessons learned as a newcomer to America, a veteran of the shortest and most victorious war, and as a serial entrepreneur.

Quang and his book have been featured on The NBC Nightly News, MSNBC, CNN Business Hour, PBS, NPR, and in Forbes, The New York Times and other ethnic and mainstream publications. An avid runner, he has completed races ranging from 5K to marathon distance.
